COVID-19 Notice

We have updated our business continuity response.

In light of the ever changing Government recommendations regarding COVID-19 and preventing its spread, we have updated our business continuity response to ensure that the health of our clients and members of staff are protected, as we continue our professional duties as an accountancy practice.

Stephenson Smart’s Office

  • So as to limit the risk of Coronavirus we will be limiting the number of employees within the office. This will not affect our client’s ability to contact our staff members. Our reception and admin staff will be available to take your calls to the office and there will be at least one member of each team in the office at any time to answer any queries you may have.
  • Those staff members working from home will be available via email and all messages left with our reception and admin team will be passed onto said employees.
  • We will no longer be holding face to face meetings between clients and employees. All meetings can be arranged as either phone calls or video conferencing, should you so wish.

Business Continuity

  • Many of our staff already work from home occasionally and we are ensuring that as many members of staff as possible who may not have had to work from home in the past have the ability to, in the event that self-isolation is imposed and our Peterborough office is required to close.
  • We can ensure that our services will remain consistent, and our clients will receive the same continuity of communication whether staff are in the office or working from home.

In addition, in compliance with government guidance to help reduce the spread of the Coronavirus:

  • Any member of staff displaying any known symptoms, or is living with family members who are showing such symptoms, (e.g. a persistent cough or fever) will be required to self-isolate at home for 14 days.
  • Our staff within the office will ensure to follow good personal hygiene, including frequent hand washing and keeping desks and surfaces clean.
  • Social distancing will be taking place throughout the office to reduce the potential spread between staff members.
  • All meetings will take place over the phone or via video conferencing – if you need any guidance on video conferencing our staff members will be more than happy to guide you through the process.
  • We are still available for clients who wish to drop documents to our office until further notice.
  • Staff who rely on public transport to get to and from work are encouraged to work from home.

In these uncertain times, we are working very hard to ensure that our clients receive a continued first-class service from our team, whilst placing the wider public health as our top priority. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact our reception desk on 01733 343275.

This notice will be altered in line with the ever evolving Government guidance and changing circumstances as and when they arise.

Thank you for your continued support.
