Garry Wiles Partner
Fellow of ICAEW (FCA) and Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA)
Whilst working with a broad base of corporate and individual clients on a daily basis, Garry’s particular area of expertise is in providing accountancy and taxation advice and services to small and medium sized businesses and high net worth individuals. He also acts as Financial Director of Stephenson Smart’s Financial Services Company.
Garry currently serves as an Independent Member of the Audit and Risk Committee of The Longhurst Group, a role he has occupied since 2016.

Rob qualified in 1995 and provides a wide range of general accountancy services to a diverse range of business sizes and sectors and has built up a strong portfolio through client referrals and recommendations.

Kerry qualified in 2000 and sees her subsequent appointment to Partner of Stephenson Smart & Co as one of her greatest achievements. A well-qualified ‘all-rounder’ with a specialism in audits for Registered Social Landlords, Kerry looks after the financial affairs of SMEs across a variety of sectors, including construction, retail, professional services, business consultancy, nursing homes, subcontractors, farmers, pubs, motor repairs and many more.

Andrew gained his qualifications in 2001. As well as helping the firm’s large portfolio of owner-managed businesses, Andrew has particular experience in advising clubs and associations on financial matters.

Jon became a Senior Associate in September 2019 having worked for Stephenson Smart since 2000, and qualifying in 2005.
Over the years Jon has refined his skills and has specialised in working with small to medium sized businesses and personal services companies. He has extensive experience in detailed tax planning advice which ensures his clients are operating their businesses in the most effective way possible.
Jon has a reputation for building a great rapport with his clients and is always able to bring out the cheerful side of tax and accounting.

Harry Jenkins Senior Associate
Harry joined Stephenson Smart in 2015 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with the firm in 2018. He even earned himself the ICAEW Fleming Birch Prize Award, which is the 1st place for the highest advanced results in the 2018 sittings. Harry provides accountancy and taxation advice to a broad range of businesses across all sectors, from start-ups through to well established medium-sized businesses and high net worth individuals.
Harry prides himself on breaking the stereotypes that are attributed to being an accountant. He is an approachable individual and aims to work collaboratively with his portfolio of clients to build strong business relationships, so he can help add value to their business, financial, and tax related matters.

Matthew Johnson Senior Associate

Matt joined Stephenson Smart directly from University in September 2003 and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant with a Stephenson Smart training contract. Matt has developed a broad experience within all areas of general practice working with start-ups to well-established companies of varying size and within a range of diverse industries.
With knowledge of all popular bookkeeping software and a Xero certified advisor, Matt works closely with clients building dependable relationships to assist them with their ongoing needs including timely management information requirements and VAT obligations. VAT across all industries is a specialism of Matt’s, together with assisting clients in the construction industry and their compliance with various taxes.
Matt also has experience with business ownership structures and can assist with transactions such as company share buybacks and employment related securities in their various forms.

Sue Reynolds Portfolio Manager
Member of Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT)
Sue has been working at Stephenson Smart since September 1984, gaining her ATT qualification in 1994, and was admitted as a Fellow in March 2021.
Her portfolio of clients consists of small and medium sized audit clients, giving her experience on audit planning and finalisation along with a good working knowledge of FRS102 and FRS102 1A, sole traders and partnerships, in both accounts preparation and taxation. Sue has a good working knowledge of Xero, SAGE and SAGE One, and is a Xero Certified Advisor.
